How to Properly Clean a Carpet the Quick and Easy Way

Many top quality steam cleaners do not need the extra help at all, but it makes little sense to spend money on the rental with any other goal than perfect results. If the recommended cleaner is not available, always test the replacement first by pouring a small amount on a washcloth and scrubbing it into the carpet in an unnoticeable spot.

4) Be the Snail!

A common mistake by consumers is working too quickly; take your time. Start in one corner of the room and slowly make your way in a straight path; once with the water sprayer on and again with it off. The suction is ultimately what is freeing all of the dirt and grime from your floors, so it is critical that you give it plenty of time to do just that. If the carpet appears to be coming perfectly clean then you can always increase your speed on ensuing passes, and it still saves a lot more time than cleaning the entire area twice.

5) Be the Snail...Again!

Drying can take a considerable amount of time, so it's best to quarantine off the room and let nature take its course. Walking on the carpet too soon is like activating a magnet inside a nail factory; the dirt on the bottom of your shoes will jump ship faster than a cheetah chasing down supper. Feel free to open some windows and crank up the fans, but keep everyone off of the floor until it is completely dry.
