2007 Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP Infant Carrier Review

While we were looking for carseats we chose 2007 Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP Infant Carrier mainly because of the safety ratings. It is one of the safest infant carriers out there and also one of the most expensive ones too, we paid almost two hundred and twenty dollars not including tax. It had a few extra bells and whistles on it too which made it that much more appealing.

One of the features this carseat has straps that are extremely easy to adjust only requiring us to use one hand. As we tend to travel quite a bit and our babies tend to grow rather rapidly, this feature was quite appealing to us. So far it has been a nice feature.

The carseat also comes with the base that has a level on it help ensure proper installation in the car, however when properly installed in our Mazda 6, the infant carrier seemed like it was at a bit high of an angle causing the baby's head to fall forward.

Another thing about this carrier is sometime you have to squeeze it into the car since the handle bar is so far up, it would barely fit through the car door if the handle was in the correct back position for use in a vehicle.

Whenever a spill happened in this carseat, unless it was wiped up right when it happened, it was hard to clean off the fabric. Not to mention it is hard to even try to remove the seat cover for washing, I ended up using the upholstery cleaner on my carpet cleaner to clean the fabric.

Weight of the carseat is something else to consider when looking for an infant carrier. When we picked up this one we liked that it was heavy, we figured it made it more sturdy in case of an accident. But when you place a baby in the carrier and all that weight adds up it's not something I would want to deal with again after getting this carrier.

The weight limit on this carrier goes up to twenty two pounds and it would've been nicer if it went up to thirty. Since my babies have a tendency to grow really fast and already weigh around 16lbs at 4 months, I am already looking for another carseat.
