Toilet training your cat can take a little bit of time to accompish so you might want to invest in some good odor remover for those little accidents that are sure to happen until your cat catches on that he should use the toilet now. A very good odor remover that I have used is Simple Solution Cat Urine Odor Eliminator in a yellow bottle. Not the pet and stain remover. It must specifically say Cat Urine Odor remover in a yellow labeled bottle. This has been the best stuff I have found so far to get rid of any accidents. You may have to use it twice to totally remove odors from carpets.... cat urine removal .

First, go to your local Wal-Mart and buy the cheap plastic 3 pack of bowls with lids. They are usually white with blue lids. These seem to fit inside toilet bowls very well, and have several sizes to fit your toilet bowl. Also while you are there, purchase the cheapest toilet seat you can find. I believe I paid about $12 to pick up both of these items. That's it. That is all the extra supplies you need except for duct tape if you don't already have some.... cat urine removal .

Keep the litterbox in it's current location and put the toilet seat bottom over the top of the litterbox taping it to the sides of the box to prevent it from moving. You may take the lid of the toilet seat off completely as you have no need for this. Make sure that you have securely taped the seat to the box. Your cat may not feel comfortable if it moves when he goes to step on it. If there is space remaining around the seat, cover it with cardboard so that your cat must use the litter in the hole of the seat.
