See Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Eureka Springs, Arkansas is a well-kept secret. It is nestled in the Ozark Mountains, with winding mountainous streets that resemble those in Switzerland. Victorian homes adorn the streets of the town. The village is complete with a shopping extravaganza, which includes lace shops, restaurants, and quaint bed and breakfastestablishments.

The town boasts of a hotel, where ghosts are said to play on the top floor. The veranda and porches give the visitor a grand view of the town and surrounding communities, even the next state of Missouri can be seen from this vantage point. This hotel, the Crescent Hotel, is the epitome of Southern hospitality. The champagne brunch along with the white carriage rides is the perfect setting for a wedding party. They have rooms available to host a reception of any size. The food there is excellent and is served in a natural lighted dining room, with ample windows that the guests can enjoy the wonderful mountain view. A special ghost tour is held periodically where guests can romp the floor where the spirits are said to live.

The townsfolk are stars in their own right. They perform the great passion play from May 1st through October. This play has been a fixture of the town for many years, and the locals take the various parts. There are live animals, costumed actor, with an outdoor stage where all the action takes place. There is also a special show in November and December, weather permitting. This production depicts the days leading up to Christ's death and resurrection.
