Sparky's has been a family style dining staple in Eureka for more than 15 years. The menu is your basic Hamburger fare with a twist. The owner Dave Hager is a skilled chef and frequently has items on the menu such as Bobo's Enchiladas or for an even better experience try a seafood dish.
We have eaten there many times but have never reviewed them. We live in Dallas so we have plenty of choices when dining out and most of our trips to Eureka tend to include sub par touristy fare. After my last visit it was clear it was time to give them the old Henry review.
The cleanliness during my last visit was fantastic even though an unexpected wedding party had shown up.
My waitress was so friendly without being intrusive that by the time we left it was as if we had been having dinner at our sisters house. Food was brought to us quickly and was exactly as ordered.
They ask before you order a burger about your burger options and get it perfect. I would skip the fries with my burger because the burger is big enough to be a meal by itself.
My burger arrived perfect and juicy. It was hot and the bun was lightly toasted. Biting into the burger was like taking a step back in time to my childhood in NY. This was no wimpy fast food joint burger. It was freshly made and the cook knew how to keep a grill clean and hot. Simply put it was like dying and going to burger heaven!
