SciFi Channel "Eureka" - First Season - Episode 2

While attending the funeral of Susan and Walter Perkins, who died in the pilot episode, Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) has some unsettling visual and auditory experiences. After the funeral, life returns to normal in Eureka-as normal as it gets. Jack is struggling with the movers, who it seems have lost all his belongings, and he has yet to find a place to live-sleeping on the cot in the cell at the office.

Did I say things were back to normal? In pops Susan Perkins, very unhappy that someone has sent her parents an invitation to her funeral and requested that her parents take custody of her son. Susan Perkins isn't dead and she certainly doesn't have a son! "Where's Walter?" Since Eureka is a town filled with scientific minds, they are less surprised than they are curious about how this might have occurred. It turns out Susan refused to accompany Walter to his new job in Eureka, so Walter cloned her, built their dream house and he and the clone had a son. Well, why not?

While Susan is trying to get her head around all the events and Allison Blake (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) is trying to get Susan to put her arms around the boy of the cloned union, people are reporting strange electrical and auditory disturbances, similar to Jack's at the beginning of the show. What could be causing these electrical anomalies? Another experiment gone awry? Heck no, it's Walter? During the explosion in the pilot, he became trapped between dimensions and wants back inside Eureka. With Jack's insight and the abundance of scientific know how, they capture the static Walter and place him in a chamber to "slow down" his kinetic energy.
