Haan Steam Cleaner Review

I am a germaphobe. That being said it is no suprize that when I saw the late night infomercial for the Haan steam cleaner I immediately wanted one. I mean it sanitizes you floor with 15 jet streams of steam. Still I waited about a month before I pulled the trigger. During that month I was cursing my standard floor mop and that other brand name cleaner with the spray and disposable pads. I was spending at least ten dollars a month on cleaning fluid and those pads, the cost was adding up. So after much internet research I took the plunge, and boy am I glad I did.

Here are the Pros and Cons of the lovely Haan FS-20 steam cleaner:

PROS:

It cleans and sanitizes with water. You will no longer have to expose your family to harmful chemicals when you clean. It is safe for your children to crawl on the floor immediately after cleaning with the Haan Steam Cleaner.

I love the microfiber pads. The unit came with two pads that can be washed in your washing machine. They recommend that you hand wash, but lets be honest, who has the time for that. I have been throwing mine in the washing machine and hanging to dry for the past six months.

The steam cleaner is sturdy. It is lightweight, but the plastic is high quality. I never fear that it is going to break on me. Seriously the plastic is smooth and probably on par with little tykes toys in terms of quality.

The machine was easy to put together and pretty self explanitory. The handle extends with the push of a button for maximum steaming comfort.

It does clean the floor. I have two young children, a dog, two cats, and a lot of foot traffic. I use the steam cleaner about twice a week on our tile floors. The Haan Steamer cuts through kitchen spills and a toddler throwing food on the ground every time. The only reason I break out the traditional mop is to clean the grout. As for that other push cleaner, I think it is somewhere in the basement.
