The Roomba 500 Series Robotic Vacuum

I have been using a Roomba, 500 series, for about six months. It is a robotic vacuum made by iRobot. It was a Christmas gift from my daughter. I never dreamed it would work as well as it does. It is truly unbelievable how much dust, dirt and hair the Roomba picks up off my wood floors and area rugs. It runs for about two hours from each charge. That is enough time to clean my living room and kitchen area. Another charge, which takes around three hours, will last two more hours which is enough to clean my bedroom and bathroom. For best results, the dust, dirt and hair must to be cleaned out of the dustbin between charges.

I live alone and don't have pets so use the Roomba about once a week. My daughter has four young children and an indoor dog. She uses her Roomba every day. A friend of hers has two Roombas, one for the first floor and one for upstairs. She also has four young children and uses her two Roombas every day.

I have a whole house vacuum, an Electrolux, and an electric broom, but the Roomba is the only vacuum I use on a regular basis. It's not just a novelty or gadget. I have chronic lower back pain so the Roomba is a life saver in that it doesn't put any pressure on my lower back. It runs all by itself! It only weighs between six and seven pounds, so is not too heavy to lift or carry from room to room.

Since the Roomba runs by itself, it can operate when no one is at home. Your vacuuming could get done while you are at work, outside, doing other chores, exercising or even asleep.
