Uh oh, kitty just went burp and urp all over the new white carpeting. Isn't she adorable! If it's chunks (oh quit gagging) put your hand inside a plastic bag then pick up the chunks through the bag, and turn bag inside out. If it's just liquid, blot up most of the mess with a rag or paper towel. There you go. All gone except for a cheerful yellow carpet stain the color of bile, right? Now Lindy Lou wants you to sprinkle salt on the yellow carpet stain, and cover it completely with a damp cloth. Leave it for several hours and presto! No more carpet stain.
Carpet Cleaning: Candle Wax Removal
Not even going to ask you what weird ceremony you were performing that caused you to get candle wax on your carpet. Just chip off as much as possible with a credit card or plastic knife that won't cut fibers. Then, wet a clean white cloth, squeeze out excess moisture and place it over the candle wax on the carpet. Use a warm iron with a teflon base to go over it. (Not too hot! Heat can melt some carpeting!) The steam will go into the bottom of the carpet, melt the wax, and suck it up into the cloth. Repeat as needed. As long as you're down there on your hands and knees, why not iron the baseboards?
