Speed Cleaning Tips and Tricks

In today's world, it seems like if you can't get something done quickly, you might not get it done at all. For many, cleaning is definitely one of those things. Between work, school, running a household and
raising children, cleaning can be one of those "when I get to" issues for nearly anyone. Fortunately, learning to speed clean can change everything.
Make a Schedule
Setting up a weekly cleaning schedule can be extremely beneficial in speed cleaning. Though the time you choose may be different each week, the point is that each week, you have a designated period of time in which to clean. Knowing that you only have this single period of time in which to focus on cleaning can also help motivate you to get the job done right—and quickly.
Cleaning Supplies
Cleaning supplies should be grouped together in one single place. Preferably, that place should be mobile. You should be able to grab your box or tote of cleaning supplies and take it with you room to room. This will make you more efficient and speed the cleaning process up, as you won't be running back and forth between rooms to find things. Unfortunately, keeping things together can be difficult if you purchase different supplies for different jobs. Try to streamline your products, you'll save money and be more efficient at the same time. You can clean your entire house with fewer items such as a basic light-duty multi-surface cleaner and a heavy-duty degreasing cleanser.
Distractions
One big issue with cleaning is distractions. Minimizing distractions is important, so shutting off the television and the computer is important, especially if you have issues with focusing on cleaning and find yourself frequently distracted by your email or an old TV rerun.
Sometimes I find myself pausing to go through specific things like photographs or magazines I have laying out. Instead, make a list of these things you come across as your cleaning. Then, when you're done cleaning you can go back to this list and determine if it's really worth looking through or if you were just procrastinating.
