Easy Cleaning Tips: Bathroom

I will provide the cleaning tips I have used in the many bathrooms, we clean daily. On an average day, we clean five bathrooms, totaling 25 bathrooms a week. In order to keep these bathrooms looking and smelling fresh,
I use disinfectants that kill germs and have a routine that saves me time and energy. The key is to stick to the same routine all the time it prevents me from missing something or forgetting paper products and soap dispensers that need filling.
Easy Cleaning Tips: Efficiency
You should have an easy to carry caddy filled with items that you use to clean the bathroom, this will limit trips away from your work area. I stack my caddy on top of an empty caddy for loose items that I remove (soap dishes, shampoo bottles, etc...) from counter tops and tub area. After putting items back on counter tops and tub, just stack again and put under bathroom sink for storage. Wipe bottles soap dish/soap dispensers etc... as you put them back in their correct place.

Suggested items for Bathroom Caddy

Lysol Disinfectant

After the surface is clean, spray Lysol on an absorbent lint free rag, wipe sink and commode for a final germ killer. Spray in and around trashcan.

Toilet bowl cleaner and brush

Pumice stone or I use dry wall sand paper it looks like a black screen (comes in sheets, cut into squares) Ace or Home Depot carry this in the paint department. I use this because it is flexible and works great on rings and under the rim where lime deposit clogs water release holes.

Disinfectant all purpose cleaner, foam cleaners will leave build up after long-term use.

Two Old Toothbrushes

Use in hard to reach areas for instance for crevices on back of commode where the commode seat attaches to the rim and around the base of commode. Put this one in a plastic baggie to keep it separate from other toothbrushes. Do not forget to spray with Lysol when finished.

Use another toothbrush to clean around faucets and drain hole areas where the soap scum builds up.

Lint free rags

Scrub brushes, I use a tile and grout brush (a narrow brush with long handle) and a hand held scrub brush

The Super Cloth (listed below) for mirrors and chrome fixtures.
