How to Clean Your Entire Home in One Hour

No one wants to spend the entire weekend cleaning up their home. You've worked hard all week. You've dealt with a cranky boss, you've fought with your spouse, and your kids just gave you a brand new wrinkle. You deserve a break. However, most of us do end up spending our entire weekends trying to put a busy household back into working order for the next week. You end up losing hours of family time, hours of "you" time, and hours of rest. As you are probably already short on time, this article has been kept as short as possible, and it will give you an effective strategy to make sure that you spend just one hour of your Sunday afternoon preparing for the war zone that the next week will bring. First of all, before you even start picking up, throw a large load of towels, socks, and undergarments of similar colors into the washing machine. Why? Because these items absolutely have to be washed. Usually, you aren't going to be short on clean pants or shirts, but families tend to go through the necessities rather quickly (especially items that are used by all, such as washcloths and towels). Also, these items are usually missing on Monday morning, and trying to locate replacements can be very time consuming. Ever notice that you are always looking for a clean sock? Well, not anymore.
Next, set a timer or stopwatch for fifty five minutes (you must take away five minutes for gathering laundry). Then, get prepared to move faster than you have in a long time. The point of this exercise is to get as much done as possible in the shortest amount of time, so it is essential that you are constantly moving. Now, first go to each bedroom in the home and make the beds. You may have to throw your kid's things in the floor in order to even be able to get to the comforter, but do what you have to do. Having a bed made is the quickest way to pull a bedroom together, and it instantly appears neater no matter what else is in disarray. Assuming that you have a three to four bedroom house, allow yourself only twelve minutes to finish this task. You should now have forty three minutes left.
