Purchasing a New Kenmore Washing Machine

Purchasing a new washing machine in your near future? Or maybe you don't know it but you will be? I thought that buying a new washer was as simple as going to the appliance store, picking one that we liked, paying for it, bringing it home and hooking it up. I didn't know just how bad it was to shop for a new washer with Allan.

I had been licked awake by our big Rottweiler Spike, which was unusual, as he knows he isn't allowed in the bedroom on the carpet. I figured he had to go out, so I got up and he was in the kitchen by the fridge by the time I threw my robe on, and he was looking at the back door. He was whining and wouldn't go to the back door. I turned on the light and saw what his problem was. The hallway was full of water. I ran bare footed to the laundry room, and there was water all over the place. I had woken up earlier that morning and decided to start a load of wash so that it was ready to go in the dryer while we had breakfast.

I called out for Allan and we got the shop vac out and cleaned up the water. (Big mistake, we had to purchase a new shop vac that week too). After checking out the problem, Allan figured out that the sensor that was supposed to turn off the water when it was full, had quit. The clothes had gone a full cycle, and apparently it had quit during the rinse, and the time that the water ran was only for about ten minutes, then the washer shut off. So we had to go get a new washer. I thought that it would be simple. Go to Sears, pick one out, and bring it home. Well guess what. My boyfriend didn't want to just go get one and get it over with. We had to shop.
