The Kenmore 75050 AC, Great for Small Rooms

The model 75050 air conditioning unit by Kenmore is a good choice for cooling small rooms. It's relatively low cost and has a decently low energy consumption rate. It's a very basic unit so don't expect any bells and whistles but for your money you get a very nice deal.

The Kenmore 75050 comes with four temperature settings and a remote control to select them with. The unit's cooling power is adequate for up to 150 square feet. The best thing about the Kenmore 75050 is that you should be able to find it for under $100. Other benefits, besides low cost and somewhat low energy consumption, are the Kenmore 75050's sound level and filter. It's not going to be at all as loud or distracting as some larger units that you might be familiar with. The filter is very easy to remove and clean. It's not the kind of filter you should have to replace either. That's always convenient.

The only downside that I've heard from anyone is that the slant of the display isn't perfect. This may sound nit-picky but it is something to consider in case you really do not want to have to walk over to your AC. If you have to install the Kenmore 75050 at too high of a level, then the slant will keep you from seeing the settings. So even though you can easily control it with the remote, you would have to actually walk to see what the settings are on. It's a small concern and shouldn't deter you from a great deal cost-wise unless you are in a wheelchair or similar predicament. Besides that, it's only an issue if you have to install the unit at too high of a level for whatever reason.
