Cleaning a carpet is not only time consuming, but it can also be expensive if you hire a steam cleaner to clean the carpet. Great Value™ Foaming Carpet Cleaner is convenient enough to use in your own home. But does it work?
Product Description
Great Value™ Foaming Carpet Cleaner is a generic carpet cleaning product that I bought from Wal-Mart. It comes in a 623g (22 oz) container and is intended for use in high traffic areas of the home. According to the product description, Great Value™ Foaming Carpet Cleaner can be used on wool, nylon, and stain-resistant carpet. However, this product is not recommended for use on velvet, silk, vinyl or leather.
Use for Stain Removal
The main reason why I purchased this product was to help combat cat stains. With four cats in the home, I often have to deal with vomit and the occasional "accident", so this product looked like it might help solve my problem and keep my carpets looking good.
Directions for Use
When cleaning a large carpet area, shake the can well and hold it up about 2 feet above the carpet and spray it over a 3-foot area. Then use a damp mop or cloth to spread the foam into the carpet. Allow the carpet to dry and then vacuum the area to remove any dried foam and loosened dirt from the carpet.
Does it Work?
I recently used Great Value™ Foaming Carpet Cleaner to clean up an area of carpet where one of my cats had been sick. After picking up as much of the vomit as possible, I sprayed Great Value™ Foaming Carpet Cleaner. The product immediately foamed and got to work quickly on the stain. I hoped that the stain would lift and that there would be no residual stain left behind. Fortunately, the stain was completely lifted.
