Vacuuming on a regular basis can make the air cleaner in your home. If your carpet is really dirty use a carpet cleaner to shampoo your carpet. This will take out most of the dirt and stains from your carpet making it look new again. And it will make it clean looking and smell fresh. If you don't own a carpet cleaner you probably know someone who does or you can rent one if need be. It is not real expensive to rent one at your local supermarket or department store.
